A special thanks goes out to the team at Yew Chung International School (YCIS Gubei Campus) for volunteering such a GREAT venue for this special day. Not only did they provide the venue they also provided their own mountain of clothing and a small army of kids. Luke Watson and the YCIS students are regulars at all our sorting parties no matter the location (Puxi or Pudong). Many thanks to Luke and YCIS.
Friday 30th May 2008 was the night that the trucks turned up at Yew Chung International School (Gubie Campus). Having done the pickup earlier in the day from all our drop-off locations in Puxi and Pudong, several big trucks arrived fully laden with clothes, shoes, books, blankets and other goods.

from the evening with the great team from Santa Fe Relocations who provided us with the trucks and SMALL army.
Saturday 31st May 2008 was sorting party day. All records were broken in the volunteer department this day. 320 volunteers turned up to help China's needy. We estimated initially that we would be finished somewhere around mid to late afternoon if our usual 120+ volunteers turned up, but this day, we were finished by 11:30AM. We ran out of clothes to sort just as the lunch was being set up in the lovely shaded grounds of YCIS. Another truck arrived late afternoon and alot of good people hanged around to help unload, sort, pack and reload, sending another truck on its way.

from this great day. Even the YCIS Guards lent a hand lifting boxes high onto the trucks - thanks guys! It was great to see so many people wanting to make a difference to China's poor.
